What makes you smile?
Today I did something to make my boyfriend smile on his 25th birthday. He created this scavenger hunt of a game to entertain himself and all his wonderful friends and family. There was fifteen spots assigned and each group had to take pictures to complete each task on the birthday boy's list.
Here is the fifteen locations:
1. Cold Stones
2. Starbucks
3. Barns and Noble
4. Mission Inn valet parking
5. Chinese garden
6. Joe's Sushi
7. Dog park
8. La Sierra University water fall
9. Riverside Heritage House
10. Riverside Citrus Park
11. Mount Rubidoux (Optional)
12. St. Catherine's
13. Back to the Grind
14. Include the number 25 in a picture
15. Don't even remember the last event
Gone to Rite Aid at first for the one hour photo development, but they were super slow and then like drove to Wal-Mart and got the job done in less than an hour (surprisingly fast). At Wal-Mart we ran into a friend of mine's family members and grabbed something to nibble on in the Pizza Hut/Taco Bell mini food court. The whole scavenger hunt and developing of the pictures took about 2.5 hours.
Finally got to Gerard's place and had food and spent the next two hours scrapbooking to finish the project on his birthday so that he can smile some more.
Really, although I mean everyone was complaining through the heat and hunger throughout the entire activity we each smiled at the little stupid jokes and stupid pictures we all took. The even did achieve its goal, which was to keep us all occupied, make Gerard happy and feel like a king for a day, and to make Gerard's 25th birthday memorable and uniquely celebrated.
" Love can make even the worst of tasks enjoyable....regardless of the heat, humidity and hunger"
