Today, Gerard surprised me with an outing to the Pacific of Aquarium and to Roscoe's House of Chicken'n Waffles. First of all, I have not been to the Aquarium since I was in high school so I do not remember anything other than, the place being small. We first hit the second floor and checked out the sea otters, they were so cute and funny while they were like grooming themselves, just tumbling and scratching their bodies. Then we visited the jelly fish exhibit, so beautiful, but I would never touch those things cause of their nasty sting. then we walked out to the sting ray and shark exhibit, where I got to touch a sting ray for the first time ever and they are super friendly their bodies seemed slimy/ slipper/ soft, whereas the sharks had like rough/plastic texture to their bodies. I was super scared to put my hand into the water just because I do not like getting wet or dirty for fear of contracting or making the animals sick with foreign germs/bacteria. I think my favorite exhibit was looking at the funky sea horses, looking at the sex changing fish and petting the sting rays. ^_^ I really felt like a kid today... we toured the entire aquarium in a matter of 2 hours and saw the biggest Porcupine Blowfish, but it never like puffed up cause it did not feel threatened =( I really wanted to see it at its full potential, maybe next time on the next trip. After we worked up an appetite we headed over to Roscoe's for the famous fried chicken and waffles. I was surprised at the amount of food this place served and I loved this one drink the Sunset (half lemonade and fruit punch) I really liked it. It was worth waiting 40 mins in line to get this guilty pleasure such a high calorie meal, but I am so going jogging in the morning for a good two hours to compensate for my guilty meal. I really did enjoy the waffles and chicken combination because it satisfied the sweet and salty cravings. Over all, I had a great day =)
