Lego Land
We celebrated our 3 year anniversary and it was super fun! Gerard started the day with good and bad news..he gave me the option to pick which set of news that I wanted to hear. I always go for the bad and end with the new. Initially we were suppose to go sky diving in a wind tunnel, but we got double booked, not Gerard's fault, but the company's. We both agreed to reschedule the activity for another date. The good news was that we were going to LegoLand instead =0)
I was so not prepared for LegoLand meaning that my camera was not fully charged for a plethora of picture taking. I was absolutely surprised and excited about going to LegoLand, but first we had to go out for breakfast at CalOaks.
After driving 40 minutes we arrived at LegoLand and bought our tickets. We first went on the boat ride to see the like LegoLand of America and of other important/famous places that were all built using Legos. All the Lego sculptures were absolutely amazingly detailed and so REALISTIC, just in mini sizes. (so it I felt tall for once =0) ) We walked around the theme park in about an hour and a half, Disneyland is way bigger. I just wish we had more time to spend in LegoLand. We just stayed for like four and a half hours because we wanted to grab some food at Submarina, go shopping at Lake Elsinore Outlets and have dinner at Sevillas. The second ride was this one bike ride, which is reminiscent of Peter Pan and the Alice in wonderland rides from Disneyland. While we were in like like for almost two hours, which the last ride I waited for that long time was in California Adventure's Toy Mania. The Toy Mania ride was so worth it and this bike ride at LegoLand was just OK, but I did enjoy talking to a nice Russian couple who had 3 year old twins. We were chatting about the 5.4 earthquake that occurred at 11.54am that morning and how we did not feel it since we were in Capistrano.
The last ride we rode was this fire truck relay ride where Gerard and I kicked some major butt. This ride is like suppose to be a four man job because like two people are suppose to pump the fire truck and two people to pump the water from a hose and two people to aim and shoot the water to fill the fire hole. Doing all this while two other groups go against your group. The goal of the ride is to do everything the fastest. Gerard worked so hard pumping and I did too, but laughed so much because like all the other men of the other groups were doing all the intense labor, while all the women laughed at the situation. This ride brought out the competitive character in the male species and the women just enjoyed the moment because we did not see it as a competition, just another fun ride. Never the less Gerard and I won and beat like fully packed fire engine trucks. The grandpas on the sideline who watched the massacre congratulated us on our fast and hard work.
We celebrated our victory with a cup of fresh watermelon and a bottle of water at the LegoLand open organic market, which cost like an arm and a leg. I guess we have to pay for the convenience of eating at a theme park. We then left and went to Submarina and shared a foot long tuna. We decided that the Submarina at home is the best because the one in San Diego was not so great.
The GPS system Gerard used took us to like these small roads and like the 76, which felt like we drove in the county because of the lushes trees and the amazing mountain views. After driving like half an hour Gerard was falling into a food coma and my talking did not keep him awake. We decided to exit in Murrieta and go to WalMart just to like freshen up before continuing the drive to Lake Elsinore. After spending fifteen minutes we left WalMart with two boxes of .5 cent spiral notebooks and some bead wire (so unexpected to shop there).
Head back on the 15 and go to Lake Elsinore. We get there in fifteen minutes and head for GAP where we both spend a pretty penny on some clothes. We walk to Guess and I end up buying a teal watch that's I have been eyeing for a while now. Then we went to Nike and he tried on some shoes however walked out with no purchases. I was craving frozen lemonade from Life Plaza, which Gerard was so willing to drive there, but I did not think it was worth the gas and time. He ended up buying me a cup in the outlet and I was happy =0) but not completely satisfied because it was so tart and not as sweet or fresh as the in Life Plaza. We then head for the car and drive back home because we needed to get ready for our fancy dinner.
The traffic was horrid because of an accident, which forced us to change our dinner plans. The original plan was suppose to go to Sevillas and go dancing, but due to the unforeseen traffic we ended up doing plan B, which was buy ingredients at the store and cook at home. The dinner was delicious and romantic because we both cooked together.
Overall, I felt super happy about our three year considering nothing we planned came true and I did not even get him his build a bear, instead I went shopping, which I think Gerard was glad cause he wanted me to use my money on things I wanted for myself instead of buying him an over priced stuffed animal.
