Las Vegas

Left on Friday for Vegas and missed DCI, which was very disappointing. Took about 5 and a half hours to get to Vegas. On the way, the van thermometer reached 140 degrees (unbelievable, I know) but like it was in the canyons on the way to Barstow. The whole weekend averaged 115 degrees during the day and about 99 at night, not very comfortable weather.

Saturday, was my dad's birthday, went shopping at the fashion mall (after walking for 30 mins in the scorching heat) while my parents played in Caesars Palace. Everything in the Caesars Palace mall is so freaking expensive. I don't understand why a purse can sell for $2,000+ just because of the brand name. I guess beauty has no cost (sarcasm). We drove 6.5 miles away from the strip to go to our hotel the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, which was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in my life. Basically someone tried to break into our hotel room, it was filthy, I got bug bites, while sleeping on a sofa bed. Then again, one shouldn't complain about a free room, right?

Sunday, the third day without getting 8 hours of sleep, I hate having a hotel room near elevators, never again will I let this happen in the future. We drove to Primm and I went shopping at Bath and Body, Gap and Old Navy. The other stores were not that impressive and not much sales. Got home at 9pm, ridiculous traffic, two car accidents and a wild fire. I do not like Vegas, every time I go there I leave feeling more tired than when I left home. It is like I need a vacation from a vacation, if that makes any sense what so ever.
